My story

Something with language

As a trained philologist, one thing was clear to me at first: I wanted to do something with language.

After my studies, I taught courses in literature and theatre at the university as a lecturer, then I gained experience in online product management and B2B marketing at a publishing house.

At the same time, I volunteered to teach German as a foreign language.

Ultimately, love brought me to Spain, and everything came together: teaching German online.

milengua - teaching and designing online

I joined milengua as a teacher at a time when everything was still provisional and under construction.

In addition to teaching, I was already working closely with the then director and contributing step by step to topics such as the website and marketing.

Over time, my role has continued to grow. In 2018, I finally took over the management of milengua.

What has always accompanied me on this journey is the joy of developing myself further and learning. I have continuously furthered my education – including training as a DaF teacher at the Goethe-Institut, as a telc instructor for C1, as well as obtaining the examiner's licence for C1 and C2.

Finally, I have also further specialised in the field of language coaching and am a certified Neurolanguage Coach® (ICF).

Learning, Teaching, Developing

Today, I am the owner and managing director of my own online language school.

In my language coaching, I primarily support advanced learners in clearly defining and efficiently achieving their goals – whether in a professional context or in targeted exam preparation. I combine my didactic experience with an individual, strategic coaching approach.

At the same time, I support and accompany the trainers in my network, so that together we create a high-quality and personal learning environment.

Our approach

The Person at the Centre

At milengua, the person is always at the centre. That is why we work with a learner-centred didactics, which is oriented towards your very personal needs.

In Personal Language Training, it is first about you: your goals, your interests, and what you really need. Even in the trial lesson, we take time for this – and even later in the course, we will keep discussing it.

Because learning is a dynamic process, and your needs may also change.

I take into account many different factors: your learning type, your habits, your previous experiences, but also your everyday life, your professional context, and your time resources.

Equally important is your motivation, your educational background and your contact with the language outside of lessons. Everything influences how you learn – and how quickly. That’s why we regularly look at this together and adjust the lessons accordingly.

Over time, this creates a trusting collaboration. For me, this is one of the most important foundations for successful learning: a comfortable atmosphere, where you feel safe and can develop. At the same time, this closeness helps to understand your strengths and challenges well and tailor the lessons specifically to you..

For example:

Do you need German for your job? Then we will practise the exact situations you encounter in your daily professional life – such as meetings, emails, or conversations with colleagues.

Or would you like to speak more confidently when meeting new people? Then we will work on typical everyday situations – from introductions and small talk to conversations about your interests.

Perhaps you have limited time because you work or have a family. In that case, we will plan the lessons so that they fit easily into your daily routine. You will receive clear and manageable tasks that you can also complete independently.

If you have already learned German but often feel uncertain, we will take the time you need. Together, we will focus on important topics until you feel confident.

Making mistakes is completely normal – it is a natural part of learning.

Perhaps you learn best through conversation, or maybe you need more structure and clear rules. Perhaps examples from your everyday life help you most. Together, we will discover what works best for you.

I will continue to support you outside of our lessons as well. I will give you tips on how to use German in everyday life – for example through podcasts, short texts, or small exercises.

In this way, step by step, we create a learning experience that truly suits you – and helps you in real-life situations.
